Educational content only
Fundamently publishes educational information about business financing. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer of credit, a loan quote, a commitment to lend, financial advice, legal advice, or tax advice. We are not a lender, broker-dealer, or registered investment adviser.
Assessment results are estimates
The credit assessment tool produces illustrative estimates based on typical U.S. market underwriting practices and figures you enter yourself. Actual lender decisions depend on documentation, verification, and each lender's current credit appetite, and will differ from these estimates. The tool performs no credit inquiry and transmits no data; all scoring runs locally in your browser.
Document review
The document review service produces an educational, written commentary on financial documents you voluntarily submit. It is not an audit, a credit decision, underwriting, or advice of any kind. Submitted documents are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure, are accessible only to our review team, are never sold, and are never shared with third parties, including funding partners, without your explicit request. You may request deletion of your documents at any time via the contact form.
Referral compensation
When you request an introduction, we may refer you to third-party funding providers, and we may receive compensation from those providers if a transaction closes. This compensation does not change the educational content we publish or the results of the assessment tool. You are never obligated to use any provider we introduce.
Consulting services
We offer paid consulting to help business owners understand and improve their credit profiles. Consulting engagements are governed by their own written agreements.
Data and sources
Market figures cited on this site are drawn from primary public sources and were last verified on 11 August 2026. Where estimates vary by definition, we say so rather than presenting a single figure as settled.
- U.S. middle market size (~200,000 companies), National Center for the Middle Market, Ohio State University Fisher College of Business; defined as businesses with annual revenue between $10 million and $1 billion.
- Private credit assets under management, Moody's and PwC both place the market above $2 trillion in 2026. Estimates differ materially by source because "private credit" spans more than corporate direct lending, broader definitions including asset-backed, infrastructure, real estate and specialty finance run considerably higher.
- Bank C&I lending standards, Federal Reserve Senior Loan Officer Opinion Survey, July 2026, which reported "basically unchanged" standards for C&I loans to firms of all sizes, with current levels easier than the midpoints of their historical ranges. This measure is re-surveyed quarterly and we update it when it moves.
- SBA 7(a) maximum loan amount ($5 million), U.S. Small Business Administration.
- Advance rates, leverage multiples, and closing timelines, these are described as typical market conventions, not measured statistics. They vary by lender, collateral, industry and credit cycle, and are presented as ranges for that reason. Any worked examples using them are illustrative.
Where a figure updates automatically, it is drawn from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis FREDĀ® economic data service.
